Participei em todos os momentos, virtualmente, da reunião do CI no México de ontem e de hoje.
De modo geral, com todas as limitações naturais, foi, no meu entender, uma reunião produtiva que promoveu avanços importantes.
As considerações dos companheiros Chico e Oded são sempre sérias, mas o teor talvez permaneça um tanto quanto "imobilista" e "temeroso de riscos fantasmagóricos" em relação a eventuais mudanças no processo do FSM.
Ninguém presente nem com participação virtual se colocou contra o mérito da declaração proposta.
Tod@s se manifestaram contra as guerras e a favor da paz, coerentemente com as decisões tomadas em Assembleias do FSM no México.
Nemhum princípio ou regra foi mudado ou violado pela aprovação dessa declaração.
Houve consenso e o CI se pronunciou por consenso.
Em nenhum lugar do mundo democrático é possível se proibir qualquer espaço coletivo ou instância orgânica, facilitadora ou não, de se pronunciar por consenso. E consenso não é unanimidade, mas, no caso, houve até unanimidade.
Por isso, nenhum "regra" foi mudada. O Coletivo do CI adotou uma declaração pública por consenso, algo absolutamente democrático e legítimo, mesmo que não seja comum na história do CI.
A reunião do CI aprovou também um Seminário Internacional que deverá, finalmente, discutir a fundo e definir o futuro do FSM (há mais de dez anos, um debate que se propõe, mas que acaba por ser sempre protelado por vários motivos).
Por fim, aprovou também mudanças no funcionamento orgânico e político do CI, com a formação de uma nova "Secretaria de Articulação Internacional Colegiada" (ou que nome venha a ter).
Começaram a se formar grupos de participantes do CI para colocar em prática essas decisões.
Respeito as críticas e os "velhos e reafirmados temores" colocados mais uma vez pelos companheiros Chico e Oded.
Mas posso afirmar que não conheço ninguém no CI - ninguém - que defenda mudanças no FSM que impliquem nos riscos por eles apontados.
Tod@s nós - tod@s - queremos cada vez mais democracia e nada de "comandos verticais" que falem pelos outros e diminuam a diversidade e equilíbrio igualitário dos participantes do CI e do processo do FSM.
Mas é preciso ousar e tentar alguns avanços coletivos. Sem temores infundados.

Dear IC participants
I participated in all moments, virtually, of the IC meeting in Mexico yesterday and today.
In general, with all the natural limitations, it was, in my opinion, a productive meeting that promoted important advances.
The considerations of comrades Chico and Oded are always serious, but the content perhaps remains a bit "immobilist" and "afraid of phantasmagorical risks" in relation to eventual changes in the WSF process.
No one present or with virtual participation was against the merits of the proposed declaration.
All manifested themselves against wars and in favor of peace, coherently with the decisions taken in the WSF Assemblies in Mexico.
No principle or rule was changed or violated by the approval of this declaration.
There was consensus and the IC pronounced itself by consensus.
Nowhere in the democratic world is it possible to forbid any collective space or organic instance, facilitator or not, to pronounce itself by consensus. And consensus is not unanimity, but, in this case, there was unanimity.
Therefore, no "rule" was changed. The IC Collective adopted a public declaration by consensus, something absolutely democratic and legitimate, even if it is not common in the IC history.
The IC meeting also approved an International Seminar that should finally discuss in depth and define the future of the WSF (a debate that has been proposed for over ten years, but always ends up being postponed for various reasons).
Finally, it also approved changes in the organic and political functioning of the IC, with the formation of a new "International Articulation Collegiate Secretariat" (or whatever name it may have).
Groups of IC participants have started to form to put these decisions into practice.
I respect the criticism and the "old and reaffirmed fears" raised once again by Chico and Oded.
But I can affirm that I don't know anyone in the IC - no one - who defends changes in the WSF that imply the risks they have pointed out.
We all - all of us - want more and more democracy and no "vertical commands" that speak for the others and reduce the diversity and equal balance of the participants in the IC and the WSF process.
But it is necessary to dare and try some collective advances. Without unfounded fears.

Prezada Francine, os avanços são feitos, de modo geral, enfrentando e superanto resistências e obstáculos, como sabemos.
Estivemos, sim, na mesm reunião. Procurei destacar o que foi decidido e que considerei avanços importantes e positivos (a serem postos em prática).
Poderiam ter sido maiores? Sim.
Poderiam ter sido muito menores, sim, mas felizmente logramos - tod@s junt@s no CI - alguns êxitos.
No quadro atual, e depois de tanto esforço, vale a pena comemorar e destacar o que é positivo pro processo do FSM.

Dear Francine, advances are made, in general, by facing and overcoming resistance and obstacles, as we know.
Yes, we were at the same meeting. I tried to highlight what was decided and what I considered important and positive advances (to be put into practice).
Could they have been greater? Yes.
They could have been much smaller, yes, but fortunately we - all together in the IC - achieved some successes.
In the current situation, and after so much effort, it is worth celebrating and highlighting what is positive for the WSF process.
