Dear colleagues, official and unofficial ISA Forum 2012 RC10 session organizers, dear panelists,

Please let me once again mention the proposition to use the discussion part of our http://isarc10internetforum.wikispaces.com/ISA+2012 page and its session sub-pages for threaded discussions concerning not only changes in our preliminary program, but also, and more importantly, for conducting virtual dialogue among all the participants concerning eventual organization of collaborative comparative research projects on our main theme.
Please let me concretize this time my proposal. Having in mind that just in this time of the year many research institutions are making last changes in questionnaires for surveys on representative samples planned for this year, please examine the possibility for us to exchange experiences concerning definition of main structural independent variables and measuring instruments for attitudes toward the main themes of Buenos Aires Forum, increasing thus possibility for gathering internationally comparable data.
I have copied some of the relevant items (living out universally used ones like gender, age,marital status…) formulated for collecting data on main independent and dependent variables in a document at http://isarc10internetforum.wikispaces.com/file/detail/common+core+of+research+instrument.doc PLEASE, do the same in reply to this theme (common core of research instrument) thread. This will enable us to analyze comparability of our existing research instruments and examine possibility of creating the common core of joint research instrument.
As every item operationalization is embedded in a given theoretical - methodological framework, I will briefly resume here only the starting research hypothesis underlining proposed formulations of all selected items proposed for the common core of research instrument: tendency of class division of labor on managing and executing work functions and of accompanying gross private property as its legal expression to increase or decrease, determines in the last instance the tendency of the existing hierarchical structure of social relations, inequality and oppression in all spheres of social life activity, to reproduce itself or to be transformed.
